CHAPTER 117
Selena stretched her hand towards the teenager that lay on the floor before her in the ruined room. After she and Alex had gotten information that the girl and her Father had been to Edison, they didn't hesitate to travel over only for them to see a part of the house torn apart. When they entered, they could see Drake holding Selena up with his strong hand around her neck. She had become angry then and attacked him.
Now the ebony-haired beautiful girl sat on the floor with wide eyes and a pale face. Her heart dropped at how scared she looked. She could relate to the same thing. Sathanas had a way of working fear into the mind of his victim.
"Are you okay?" She asked but she just stared without answering.
"I'm asking you, are you okay?" From the corner of her eyes, she could see Drake rising from the floor and Alex came in through the torn wall.
She left the girl and went to where Drake was, kicking him on the back

Alex looked up over the candles that were lit and gathered to form a circle in the abandoned temple. He had connived together with Selena and Cher to come to the temple just down the street at 4:06 am when it was still early.The temple had ancient bricks and cement that were broken in various places. Alex looked around and saw the empty place that was in turn filled with broken bricks, rocks, torn fabrics, bags, wooden materials, and so on. Selena felt uneasy with what Chelsea told her but she needed to hear from Alex himself so as to be sure if what she heard was right. Was that what Bagdana meant by her being created for Alex? Unlike the city, Edison was quite warmer but with the season, it's more reasonable to have a chicken soup that hot. They could pass as couples to anyone looking at them and it made her toes curl. In as much as she was happy that her crush was here, taking her out, she still was worried about him. Alex was furious as he got into the room. He couldn't fight this battle alone. He had gone five blocks from Chelsea's house and asked around for Chris's parents but he was told no one around born such a name. And there hasn't been any stranger in the past two months. Selena opened her eyes to see fire and brimstone falling, together with screaming and crying for help. She straightened but then realized she had been tied to a pole.
