CHAPTER 96

Charlotte took one more step, then sank to the log on the ground beside her. She'd been walking forever and was cold. Very cold. The night was growing darker. The dark cloak around her shoulders helped but the temperature had dropped with each passing hour and she contemplated on whether to shift or not. The former would only make her prone to getting exposed as Krepe's daughter.

Krepe's daughter. When she decided some months ago to leave Forester, she had resolved to forget everything about her as well.
