INTERROGATION

The sun rose high in the sky as it is a Monday morning. Checking his wristwatch, Alex saw it was 7:00am. He wondered what kind of work Cher must be doing to have warranted her waking up so early but then he had needed someone who knows the way around the city, so he has no choice but to adapt to it.

He pressed the doorbell to the moderately classed building that sat in the middle of a well-to-do street and a newly dressed Cher opened it, inviting him in. He looked around with a grimace. "Nicely painted walls, no cracks in the paint, a decent car worth thousands of dollars, and a nice interior design. To min for a decent job in this part of the world."

"Oh, darn." She muttered, following his eyes to the black bag that contained jewelries. The ones she stole at the hotel. "I'll bet I was so stupid enough to clear this place. The police could have walked in and seen this."
