The clock struck 8:30 am and as Selena woke up, she looked to her side and saw that it was empty. Again, Alex hadn't slept in. She could hear the birds singing and the sun was high in the clouds. She got down from the bed but stumbled upon a large wrapped box on the study table where Alex had been sitting the previous night before they had gotten intimate with each other.

Her stomach churned at the thought and if she had done the right thing, Alex wouldn't have left her stranded in the room.
