Melissa's Pov

I take a deep breath, trying to steady myself. This is it. I’m about to face the daughter of the man I’ve wronged. My heart pounds in my chest as I wait for her to arrive.

A few moments later, I hear the sound of footsteps approaching. I glance up and see Charia entering the room, her mate Alpha Ryder trailing behind her. She looks every bit like the fierce and formidable Alpha’s mate, with her head held high and her eyes flashing with anger.

I wish I could stand up from the bed and bow deeply, showing her the respect she deserves but I couldn't, I was tired like a wild animal. "Charia, Alpha Ryd. Thank you for coming," I say, my voice steady despite the tension in the air.

Charia’s expression softens slightly as she sees the genuine remorse in my eyes. "What happened to you Melissa," she asks her voice tight with emotion.

I take a deep breath before answering. "They ordered my execution. It was a punishment for my betrayal, He found out that I told
