CHAPTER 35: HIS WORD AGAINST MINE

ROSALINE'S POV:

The alpha walked past me to stand by his wife's side. He draped his arm over her shoulders and shot me one of the fakest smiles I have ever seen. In his eyes, it was a message—a warning, rather.

He knew exactly what I was going to say.

My eyes jumped between the two of them, and I had to do my best to hide my disgust. My smile is tight, and I wrack my brain for what to say.

"Just that Damien is a very nice man, I am sure he will make a great alpha one day. But perhaps it would be better if he controlled his temper a bit; he's a bit harsh, isn't he?" I lied.
