Chapter Fifty Four

Stephan's POV

If you had stumbled upon the drama, that is enfolding between me and her, you would think I was a monster harassing this young and frail woman.

She shook in fear while tears gushed from her eyes.

I did not need to place my ears near her mouth to know that she was struggling to breathe and that her heartbeat was slowing down.

She groaned in pain as I held her tighter.

I have already used enough force; if I were to apply more, I would kill her and still wouldn't get the information I needed.

My brother will hate me forever.

I started to loosen my hand on her neck to avoid killing her.

"My grandfather," she stuttered.

"Alpha will," I asked to confirm what I heard.

"Y.. es," she struggled to voice out.

I loosen my grip on her and allow her to fall, knowing that it will hurt badly.

She landed on the floor, hitting her chest on the ground.

She inhaled with force, like someone whose breath was cut off.

I stoop to the ground to be at the same eye level as her.
