Chapter Twenty Six

When Tricia got home, the following morning, she went straight to her mother's room. " Mother, were you joking when you said Amanda was not at home last night?"

Mandy sitting up from the bed said, " How can I joke with that? Did you see her car outside when  you were coming in?"

Tricia answered, " No. It was the first thing I checked, but I didn't see it. I was thinking that she has gone to work this early morning."

Mandy who was staring at her daughter asked, " What is the problem? Did anything happen at the club?  Why were you asking whether Amanda was at home last night?

Tricia answered, " Yes mother. Guess who I saw at the club?" When Mandy was unable to guess, Tricia continued, " Mother, I saw father's favorite daughter, Amanda. Mother, that Amanda can pretend. I saw her and she was looking more beautiful. She was wearing  revealing clothes. When I approached her, telling her how pretentious she was, she said she was Anita and not Amanda.
