CHAPTER 67: CRAZY STEFANI

MICHAEL'S POV

"So Michael how have you been? I didn't know you lived in LA," Stefani made small talk.

"I came back almost two years ago," I told her.

"Wow. I moved here a year ago."

"So where are you living?" I asked.

"I live in Munroe City downtown. It's all I can afford bow since Beth's daycare and prep school costs so much. Crenshaw heights."

"Oh, so what about your husband. Doesn't he help with bills and expenses?"

"Umm, actually I'm not married. It's just the two of us. She's all the family I have." Stefani had a sad look in her eyes. She and her older sister, Nicole were orphans and I took a liking to them back in college. They were both two brilliant individuals who got full scholarships to the university.

"What do you mean your daughter is the only family you have. What happened to Nicole?" I asked.

"Well," she said with teary eyes.

"Michael Nicole died three years ago."
