I stormed out of my room, still pissed from what had happened back there. I knew for a fact that if I swept this under the carpet and didn't go back there to let him know that I wasn't going to straight up accept anything that was thrown at me like some slave, it might even get worse.

And no matter how much I tried to hold myself, and tell myself that this might escalate into something worse, I knew I couldn't. He had touched the chord with me and there was no way I was going to that slide, because there were going to be future implications as well. And I didn't want any of that happening to me. I quickly made my way down the passageway, simmering like a brimstone.

I could feel the stares of the servants in the Packhouse as I made my way past them, ignoring their greetings and refusing to acknowledge their bows. I was more interested in getting to Ronin's room and letting him know that I wouldn't settle for any nonsense that was thrown at me by him and his council.
