Chapter 17

Gabriella was taken aback for a moment after hearing Mona's words. She had only known Mona and Angel almost all her life, there were the only ones who were there for her when she had no one.

They had stood by her even when no one stood by her. Listening to Mona say those particular words had triggered something in her.

"Thank you Mona" Gabriella said with a smile that startled Mona for a moment.

Gabriella had never been the one to use words to convey her thoughts. Mona and Angel had learnt to easily understand her with her expressions and actions.

"Is there something good going on at home?" Mona asked, her eyes twinkling and Gabriella laughed lightly, shaking her head.

"Nothing you should care about"
