Chapter 76

Ashley/Olivia's POV

I watched as the unknown person who talked with the maid disappeared into the woods. He took a path leading deeper into the woods and out of the territory.

"What was he doing with Luciana's maid? Who was this maid working for? Was she working alone?"

I looked closer at her but she did not seem like one who was involved in secret dealings.

From my observation of her at the house, she didn't have the power to do things that are evil by herself.

"There must be someone behind her." I concluded.

"And that person is no one else than her employer, Luciana."

That is the only credible thing I thought of now. She would have been threatened by the Luna to run such dirty errands for her.

The maid also made her way out of the wood. I made sure there was no one around before I came out from where I was hiding.

With a deep breath, I stepped out from behind the tree and followed the maid at a distance, careful not to be seen by her.

She took a detour and went another way in the w
