26. I Regret Following My Feelings

Jane just stared in amazement at the sudden change in Josh's demeanor. “This guy in front just kissed me warmly, and suddenly it got icy like this,” Jane thought in her mind, who then caught her breath and stood up from her original seat on Josh's lap.

Josh only then caught a glimpse of the woman standing tall with a sour face in front of him and looking down languidly.

“It's not true, Jane,” said Josh again.

“I didn't start it,” Jane said, a little embarrassed by Josh's attitude, which she thought insulted her as a woman, “You started all this,” Jane continued again wearily and then turned around to go to her patient bed.

Josh grabbed Jane's right hand that was pulling her IV pole, and stood, hugging Jane from behind. Jane, who did not understand her friend's attitude and felt a little disappointed with what had happened, became angry.
