Chapter 51Matteo's POV I fixed my holster to my waist and fixed two shotguns on each holder and wore a blazer to cover it. I didn't want to walk around with people seeing guns on me. Chapter 53Aurora's POV I'd woken up feeling weak and nauseous the same way I felt yesterday, but it could be attributed to Ginevra's threats. If I didn't feel anything for Matteo, I would have walked away easily and put everything behind me. But that was what my uncle wanted and I couldn't give it to him nor Ginevra. Since I could stay at home and be lazy all day, I decided to go to the kitchen and help. Chapter 54 Aurora's POV My eyes opened slowly as I felt warm hands on me while I tried to familiarise myself with the environment. It was funny that Matteo took me to a hospital for something as trivial as nausea. He'd probably been scared beyond his wits. "How do you feel now?" He asked with worry etching his features. "I feel like throwing up everything in my stomach, maybe my intestines as well. I feel so awful," I complained as he stifled a chuckle. I flashed a glare at him and he chuckled again then kissed my forehead. The door creaked open with doctor Luca coming in, his face wearing an excited countenance. I frowned, wondering what could make him smile when I was feeling so sick and exhausted. "Will she get better?" Matteo interrogated and he nodded. "Sure, she'll get better if she doesn't do stressful things or exert herself." He replied, swinging his gaze from Matteo to me. I wasn't sure that I was the only one who noticed, but his excitement was suspicious.

Chapter 55Aurora's POV Staying at home and preparing meals was actually easier than waking up earlier than usual to prepare for class even though my body craved two extra hours of sleep. Amidst the stress that came with it, I was happy doing something that I loved. After the class I'd be able to cook professionally. Though other cooks had gone through culinary school for more than a year, Mrs Fernandez thought me to be talented so she said that I didn't need all of that. I was very proficient and I just needed a professional touch. Demetrio was quiet beside me as he drove me to class. Matteo made him my bodyguard since he didn't want me to be in danger of being attacked and also to ward off young men who might want to talk to me. I wasn't comfortable with him being around me all the time so we both agreed that he'd be invisible, watching me from the corners. "So, when did you get inducted into the Outfit?" I asked, feeling uneasy with the silence that reigned in the car.

Chapter 56Aurora's POV I was flabbergasted and totally at loss of what to say or do to placate Matteo. If I'd known that everything was a set up I would have completely avoided Nicholas. At this juncture, I wasn't even sure that his name was Nicholas. A rap sound resonated at the door but I wasn't ready to receive anyone. I just wanted to be on my own and think of what to do about the set up. "Can't I be alone in peace?" I yelled, my voice croaky and filled with tiredness. Chapter 57Matteo's POV I stood by the window pane, sipping the coffee that Ginevra had brewed for me. My thoughts still revolved around the discovery from last night and I imagined Aurora kissing another man and probably allowing him to touch her like I did. I cringed at the thought of it, but then, there was picture to show that she had done something like that. It was these same thoughts that drove me to one of my club and nearly made me to cheat on her. Nearly. But I couldn't push through even though I tried. She didn't smell like Aurora, neither did her eyes shine like Aurora's smokey grey eyes. I kept comparing the both of them till I left the club angrily and now I was doing the same thing.
