CHAPTER TWENTY ONE: THE SPARK III

The drive back home was a quiet one and aura felt guilty about it. If she didn’t go to meet Bigfoot then Angeline wouldn’t have had the time to talk to Liam who was seated and sulking by her side.

Malcolm who was driving would occasionally glance at them through the rear mirror but he would not say anything, thankfully Angeline left in her own car.

“Will you like some ice cream?” Aura asked, trying to release the tension in the car but the little boy ignored her and continued staring out of the window.

“Liam, you don’t ignore when an elder is talking to you” Malcolm said from the front seat, his eyes glancing at them for a split second before turning back to the road ahead.

“Then you shouldn’t lie to your dying son either” Liam screamed at the top of his voice in anger and that was when Malcolm pressed his leg hard on the break and the car came to a sudden stop by the road.

“Be careful sir, there is a child in the car” Aurora warned.

Coming down from the driver’s seat, Malcolm walked
