She curled up in a ball over the mattress. Her hands were fisted and pulled closer to her chest, her knuckles turned white. The pool of unshed tears gathered in her eyes. She couldn't hold it back any longer. Her shoulder began to shake as her sobs wracked. Her eyes were swollen with all crying. Her face scrunched up as she allowed the pain to seep through her body.
