Picky With Your Drinks

"Yeah, she does care about me too much. So, tell me something about your company."

Cecil said, by now the car had stopped and was packed in the garage of Phoebe's small villa, it was a villa painted with white colour on the outside, not exactly big but good enough for a person like herself. Phoebe being the kind of person she was, never liked a showy life, just wanted a simple life of doing her dance career, go out on a date with sexy ladies and make sure her sister doesn't lack anything.

Justin was the first to get out of the car and he quickly went to open the door for Cecil like a perfect gentleman with a smile on his face. Cecil who noticed it said nothing because she thought he was just trying to be nice and not wanting to look rude towards her so she smiled back at him and led the way towards the front door of the villa.

The living room had a boylike decor, infact it was stylishly manly as if owned by a man even though it was two ladies living in the house just that, one was far from being a girl that she was, instead she chose the opposite and that was being manly.

It was mainly with the colour of gold and black with a few touches of white or cream colour. Justin was the least surprised, it was because he had been here a number of times and was used to the ironic style of Phoebe's living room, he immediately made himself comfortable on a sofa while Cecil excused herself.

Justin had totally forgotten about what Drew had asked him to do, he was too clouded with the thought on how to impress Cecil that he completely forgot about what he was supposed to do, Cecil came back with a bottle of a cold drink and a glass cup and served it to Justin and with a thank you, he took a sip from the cold drink, Cecil sat on the sofa opposite him.

"You did not even bother to ask me what I would like to drink and you just brought me this cold drink without requiring from me first."

He had a serious look on his face while he asked Cecil but she gave him an apologetic smile..

"Am sorry, it's just that I didn't think you were picky with your drinks, I sincerely apologize for my lack of consideration."

She suddenly felt shy towards him seeing how serious he was. She honestly did not think that he would be picky with his drinks, plus she was already used to giving refreshments to guests without asking for their preference because during her time in the university, she would serve her friends drinks and food without asking them what they wanted and they never complained, it seems she now had a not-so-good habit to stop.

Justin heard her reply and suddenly felt his tongue bitter and it made his face ugly, he thought she was being too formal with him and he hated it. He wanted her to be open with him and causal…. Well, that was new because the virgin Casanova never had such thoughts before, he was extremely surprised at his own self for having such thoughts over someone he just met today. His inner self was telling him that he was being too fast and taking things in a rush but his heart told him otherwise, it was better to be even more faster unless he would miss the chance of being close to her.

"I was only joking and there's no need for the formalities, we should be friends since I've known your sister and we are very close then you shouldn't be left out, I can be close to your sister as much as I can be close to you. You asked a question earlier?"

For some reason, Cecil was rendered speechless by Justin's statement but she regained her senses at his last question and repeated what she had asked before.

"I said you should tell me about your company."

She repeated the question while trying to clear her hard off Justin's words about them being close…..

"You see, Cecil, working in the Euston's Corporations is never an easy one, we have been ranked the top best in the country and even abroad so we tend to expect the uttermost best from our employees. People would think we pressurise our staffs too much but it's only to maintain our good image, getting a bad reputation isn't something that would be good for a company like the Euston's and slacking off work isn't tolerated at all. And when it comes to the PR department, workers there are usually under more pressure especially when we would be in a dire situation, being the top best doesn't mean we would not suffer from bad public image once in a while and clearing off such cases are usually hard. We have lots of competitors and enemies wanting to either overtake us or overthrow us and they would always look for the best and perfect opportunity to do that."

Cecil stared at Justin and for some reason she suddenly felt scared, it wasn't that she was not aware of things like this but hearing it directly from Justin's mouth scared the living shit out of her.

"Why do I suddenly feel like you are discouraging me? You don't want me to work at the Euston's?"

She asked in a small low voice that showed how down spirited she was, Justin who heard her now felt guilty but he needed to tell her the reality of working under their company, he wasn't discouraging her but telling her what to expect and he did not really tell her everything exactly just the few that was needed for now. With a guilty heart, he stood up from his chair and went to seat on the sofa Cecil sat on with her head down while she fumbled with her fingers, he sat so very close to her without either of them noticing.
