Marked And Mated

Michael POV

Without any hesitation, I scooped my mate closer and held her as if she is my lifeline. I do not want ever to lose her again. Before I could take another step, I feel as if we are caught up in a whirlwind. I gasp in astonishment getting all wary and alert.

"What? I thought in your weakened state and because you're in this era, you would at most just remain werewolf."

Aurora voices her opinion but I am yet to grasp what this is all about. Why would she make a fuss about a whirlwind which is weak at that?

"You can put me down now Mikey."

Only when she says this do I get a clear sight of my surroundings. We are back in the cave! How?

"Oh, so now you are perturbed? Precisely what has me baffled as well. How she managed to teleport us back, is beyond me. Anyway, let me warm up the food while you guys get comfortable."

I look at my mate and she just smirks mischievously before she scoots closer and rests her head on my chest.
