Chapter 63

Ian hurriedly took the already fired gun away from her hands. She was like a 3 month old with speedy hands.

"THERE WAS A BULLET IN IT?", she shrieked and Ian winced. Did she think he would bring out a gun without ammunition? Was that why she forgave it quickly?

"Yes, I wanted to protect-"

"You kept a bullet-filled gun where I slept?!", She asked and stood up from the bed. Ian stretched out a hand and was immediately smacked in the face.

He flexed his jaw and realized that the moments she hit him in the process of waking up were unintentional because this one hurt like hell.

"What if that was a kidnapper?", He grabbed her hands successfully in one of his and put the gun carefully in his back pajama pocket. He would have dropped it in a drawer but she could come back for "experimentation" and accidentally murder herself.

"How would a kidnapper get through all these layers of security, just one of them is enough", she grumbled, her conviction waning.
