Chapter 4

Don't Breathe.

Farkas Daemon.

"You have to dispatch more sheriffs into the state. Find Iratus at all cost and implement any method necessary to put him behind bars before he causes more havoc to the human world." Darwin growled as he placed around my office, breathing hard in anger.

"A whole lot of damages has happened ever since Iratus Argent made it out of the portal. His familiar in less than 60 hours have caused a whole lot of havoc but the most annoying thing right now is that Iratus is nowhere to be found. He is an evil sorcerer and he will do nothing but to release every other supernatural being and then, our whole existence will be at risk." Fridolf cuts in, looking way more worried than Bardulf. "That cursed girl, she's behind everything happening and we must find her. She must pay dearly for her mistake." He concluded as he sipped his coffee.

I wrapped my arms together as I looked at both of them. The only thing I had running in my mind right now was the gruesome murder of my cousin, Nicklaus and his parents.

All I thought about right now was to make sure I put her behind bars forever and go on to have her pay for her crime.

"And I remember." Fridolf spoke up, like he just broke out from a heavy thought. "An Intel said traces led to the house of the just murdered doctor, Nicklaus. It almost slipped my mind." He pressed his hands on his forehead as he rubbed it slightly.

"Yes, Yifa…"

"Yifa Moore??" Alpha Darwin had cuts in just immediately. "You mean you have Yifa Moore in your custody??" He excitedly approached me as he had me stand up and lock me so tightly in his arms several times. "Oh my, oh my. Make whatever wish and when I become the mayor, I will grant it and make you the superintendent of police in Chicago." He kept on flattering as his cheeks grew red in full blown excitement.

"A charge has been pressed against her for the gruesome murder of Nicklaus Bradford and family."

"Go on, drop all charges. I'll pay off whoever it is who wants to press the charges and the Chief Justice is my good friend, nothing good will come out of it because there is no evidencep. Come on, Farkas, go fetch her for me, she's needed alive!!" He mumbled.

I had sent one of the officers to go bring her to my office. There was nothing I could say because he was far way higher than me, he played a big role in the politics of Chicago and even the mayor presently is currently sponsoring Alpha Darwin.

I turned my back against both of them, gritting my teeth in anger as I rested my hands on the cabinet.

Yifa Moore's POV::

All I could remember were four men who surfaced from the dark. The burning, red eyed man stood still, not making any move towards me.

The four men were all from the Sheriff Department. I shifted backwards, still using my butt. I wish there was a way out of this mess.

"Why would Alpha Darwin hand me over to the Sheriff instead of killing me already?" I cursed beneath my breath.

Two of the men approached me as the other two rested their hands on their holsters. They were being on the defensive side. There was no possible way I could deny that I wasn't the killer.

"Damn it!!" I whimpered.

The two men had handcuffed me and when I looked into the dark, the man with the burning, red eyes was no longer there. He was gone. But where??

I had received a smack on the right side of my head and I fainted and the next thing I woke up to was a hefty man who had stormed into the interrogation room to take me out.

"You are needed at the Chief Deputy's office. You better remain silent!!" He cursed as he handcuffed my hands and led me forcefully to the Chief Deputy's office.

The first eyes I had seen sent a cold chill down my spine as I felt my feet grow numb immediately.

Finally, finally they had caught up with me and I was bombarded with what happened two nights ago when Fridolf had pulled the trigger on my little, precious princess Rudina and all I felt towards him was hate and I wouldn't think twice before tearing his skin apart.

"Oh my precious Yifa!!" Alpha Darwin approached me, wearing a big smile on his face as he pushed aside the strands of hair covering my eyes. "Home is waiting for you, there is no need to run anymore. I forgive you and I have a present for you." He said in a low tone which was more like a whisper.

I trembled at the sound of his voice. His breath came with so much force that paralyzed my every strength and all I could do was pray that I wake up from this dream.

"Fridolf, go arrange the car. I'll be down with Yifa in no time." He sent off Fridolf. "Argent." He called out to the muscular man who had his back faced against us. He was the Chief Deputy.

And again, I had seen those red eyes that burnt like a raging inferno. I looked at his prettier facial features. He had a pointed nose with thick facial hairs and his hairs were black like darkness itself. But then there was something different about those eyes.

They weren't wild as they were in the woods, they were blank as though he never wanted to give me off to the Alpha.

"Please, save me!! Don't let them take me away." I cried as Fridolf walked in to take me away.

"So, are you taking the deal or not!!" Alpha Darwin smirked as he looked at the Chief Deputy's eyes.

"Deal!!" He wore a blank face as he carried up a paper containing my photo card pinned to it as he set it on fire.

What did he just burn?? Am I being sold off to Alpha Darwin??" I felt my entire strength fail me as they carried me away.
