"Eww, I hope you washed your hands," I playfully grimace.

Trey chuckles. "That would be truly fucking disgusting if I didn't. I would have to call the health department on myself."

God, that was such a weird ice breaker. I've never been so awkward in my life. Is this something I can even recover from?

He quickly peeks around the corner before approaching me. His delicious, warm breath washes over my face. "You look beautiful. I'm glad you came," he murmurs, "I know things between my mom and sister are tense right now."

He inches closer, our lips nearly touching now. My heart is hammering in my chest at the thought of him kissing me, but I know it is wrong and can't happen.

"Trey," I breathe, pushing gently on his chest. His captivating, hazel eyes bore into mine as he waits patiently for my next words. "We can't do whatever this is. I love Candice too much to continue doing something that we both know she wouldn't approve of."
