It's finally Friday. Like a dumbass, I spent all night working on my book and I'm exhausted, but I promised Candy I would be there for this little party for her brother.

I hear my phone chime and look down to see who it is:

Candy: Are you otw? Mom wont let me try her chocolate cake before you do ?

Me: Oooh, my mouth is watering already ? I'm leaving now, see you soon! ❤️

After sending the text, I curl the last strand of my hair. Then, I cover the scratches Lavender gave me with concealer and put a little mascara and eyeliner on.

I'm pretty excited to meet Trey! Yes, I've heard a lot about him from Candy, but I want to hear his story firsthand so I can determine if he's really the villain she has made him out to be.

In a strange way, it feels like I'm meeting my long lost brother or something. The Thompsons are more my family than my own. I love all of them even Jeremiah, despite his perpetual teenage angst.
