Sienna couldn’t concentrate on anything for the rest of the day. Lucas’s expression, his words, his kiss, his hot body, everything kept on floating in her head and she simply gave up working and lay back on the sofa, closing her eyes. Along with his thoughts came back the hurt that she had gone through. No, she wouldn’t give in. She wouldn’t be his wh*re. Surely she had misheard his declaration of love. How could someone so famous, so handsome and so much beyond her league, love her, a simple nurse?
The next day she had a meeting and consultation with James Price as well as her Finance team. Getting ready, she dashed out of the house, locking the door securely.
