Chapter Nine - An Interconnected Room?

Sienna walked over to the door indicated by Maria and took a peek. It was a medium-sized room and beautifully furnished in pale beige and burgundy shades. The queen-sized bed looked quite inviting but it was the balcony that caught her breath away. The wrap-around balcony had the most breathtaking views of the Hudson River that she’d ever seen. 

“Do you like it?” Asked Lucas from his bed. The attendants had left and so had Maria. Sienna turned to look at him.

“Yes, it’s beautiful,” she told him. 

“Now help me sit up. I’m tired of lying down since morning,” said Lucas with a displeased look on his face. Sienna walked up to him and slipped an arm under his shoulders. She gently pulled him up in a sitting position. Lucas gazed at her, mesmerized by her nea
