Dinner

After sending his brother and his wife off, Jacob enters the house. His gentle gaze falls upon Aurora who is sitting on the couch, staring at nothings and hugging her knees. Her eyes have lost the sparks. Forgotten its own job to flick with lights. Jacob sighs and walks towards her. Thrusting his hands in his pants pockets, he leans his shoulders against the door and says,

" What do you want for dinner?"

Aurora slightly flinches but pulls herself together before looking at him. But she remains silent about the question. She doesn't know. She doesn't feel any interest in consuming some meals. As long as she is alone, nobody is around her, betraying her.

Jacob once again heaves a heavy sigh before walking towards her. She raises her head, giving her entire attention to Jacob who stands right before her, with a gentle look on his face.

" What do you want? Today we have each other only."
