I’m sorry.” She finished, still feeling the anxiousness course through her belly and making her feel so nauseous and exhausted at the same time.

William didn’t expect her to apologize so quickly. He expected her to put up more of a fight the same way she had done when she damaged his expensive white carpet.

Anna expected a laugh to come from him and his words mocking her about her apology. What she didn’t expect was to finally look up toward the desk and find the same man all but gaping at her in shock.

He recovered quickly still, and a smirk came into his face.

“So you do know how to apologize properly.” He commented.
