The drive the entire way was silent, and William refrained from turning his head to check if Anna was okay. There seemed to be a vice in his chest that wasn’t ceasing, and he hated the feeling of it.

“Are you okay?” He asked out loud, expecting to hear an answer from her.

Contrary to his thought process however, she didn’t respond and he was left in the silence, gripping his steering wheel firmly, trying not to break it with his immense werewolf strength.

“Anna for fuck’s sake,” he growled out. “I expect an answer when I ask you a fucking question.”

“What do you expect me to say, sir? Should I thank you for the ride, or for disrupting my life again?” She sounded weary, gazing out the window and wondering to herself how she got into this mess.
