Chapter 28

"Yes, I'm coming from the office. Where else would I be coming from by this time of the day?" Aiden retracted as he stared strangely at Marina who was acting all weird in his theory.

"Of course, you're coming from the office. The office restricts you from taking your calls now?" She sighed as she walked back into the house, abandoning him at the front door leaving him all the more confused.

Rummaging through his pocket to grab his cell phone, to his absolute surprise; he couldn't find it, and that caused him to rush over to his car and go through his briefcase and there he found it.

Something felt off to him as he wondered when he had placed his phone into his briefcase but waving off the thought, he unlocked it only to meet 23 missed calls from his wife.

Now that explains why she was so angry and pissed!

"I'm sorry, I didn't see your calls." He pleaded in a very low voice as he walked into the house but to his surprise she wasn't waiting for him at the dining table as usual.
