Chapter 106 – I Did and I Still Do

(Alexander’s POV)

Before our arrival, George had already informed the general manager that we were coming, and as expected, I made all the managers panic about my surprise visit. My forehead knitted, seeing Mr. Brandon, the General Manager, and the other managers outside the building waiting for me. When my driver opened the car door for me, George hurried up, getting out of the vehicle and walking to my side.

“Mr. Hearst,” Mr. Brandon greeted, smiling nervously at me.

I nodded. “Why are you here outside? Don’t you have any work to do?” I asked, causing them to get more anxious about my presence.

“We’re just excited to see you, Mr. Hearst,” He explained, clearly lying about it.

I understood that my sudden appearance threw them into a tizzy, and perhaps they all hated me for coming unannounced, not giving them time to prepare for whatever documents or reports I would be asking.
