Chapter 53： Being Shy

The next day.

Wendy got up from the bed with a severe headache. She dragged herself into the bathroom and washed her face with cold water to wake herself up. She simply cleaned herself up.

She took out a white sweater from the wardrobe and put it on. Carrying a small satchel on her shoulder, she was ready to go downstairs. As soon as she opened the door, she saw Rex coming out of his room. She smiled, “Are you up?”

In the past month, Rex had gotten used to her greeting. He walked up to her, “Where are you going?”

“I want to go out for a walk. Would you like to come with me?”

Rex didn’t say anything and only replied with an “Okay” after a long while. Wendy walked downstairs, picked up a glass of warm milk from the table, gulped it down, then turned around and said to Rex, “Let’s go.”
