Hayden's breath was hot and his movements were quick as he leaned in to kiss Wyneth. But just before their lips touched, he abruptly stopped and looked down at her.

Wyneth was caught off guard and her eyes widened. Her ruby-red lips were slightly parted, as if inviting him for a kiss.

Hayden sat up, his throat bobbing as he tried to control his emotions. He took Wyneth's slender wrist and pulled her up, looking at her intensely. "Do you really want a divorce?" he asked.

Wyneth's breathing was still unsteady, but she nodded instinctively.

Hayden pressed further. "Do you really want to leave me, even if I explain everything to you?"

Upon hearing his words, Wyneth lowered her gaze, her long lashes trembling. She thought to herself, 'What's the point of explaining it now? You're just trying to make me look good. The real reason is that you don't love me.'
