Chapter 10: Lost Deander

Seven years ago when I was 10, I decided to leave the orphanage where I grew up so I can learn how to sustain myself without depending my needs on others.

At first, it was hard leaving those people in that institution who I treated my family: the nuns and sisters who took good care and fed us, my co-orphans who were still in the venture to seek for their real parents, and some of those friends that I've made.

Though the people and children didn't want me to leave, it was a tough decision to make. And since the number of children being admitted in the orphanage is constantly growing, I do not want to become a burden to the nuns anymore. Besides, the ten year that they spared to feed and protect me was more than enough. With a heavy heart and disoriented mind, I left the place when everyone was asleep because I cannot stand seeing them cry and bidding their farewells to me.
