By the time Tross took a step towards the clusters of dark mists that served as a portal that will take him to the place where his amulet was hidden, he felt his body oddly floating amidst darkness.

His forehead creased upon discovering nothing, but eternal darkness.

Normal Deanders couldn't see through the dark, yet he had this special ability to clearly see anything even with the absence of light. This was what he thought that qualified him to be chosen as Deandrelle's sentinel—his ability to see through darkness.

Apparently, in the dimension where the amulet was hidden, his ability was quite nullified, or there was actually nothing to see because he was floating over nothingness. Perhaps, a void that resembled an umbra.

Tross was definitely puzzled. With that, he attempted to both his upper and lower limbs. There, he proved that he was indeed floating on air.
