Chapter 54 Guilt

Less than an hour later, Cheryl sat facing Carlos, who held her hand tightly. She wiped her tears once again, looking at Carlos with a deep sense of guilt.

"Forgive me," She took a deep breath.

"You've said that more than ten times, Cheryl," Carlos smiled briefly. "Aren't I fine? It's just a minor injury. It doesn't compare to the happiness I felt when I learned you were coming back here a week before our wedding."

She bit her lower lip. A week... they would be getting married in a week, but she had caused Carlos an accident.

Her feelings were in turmoil again, and she didn't know what to do. Should she hurt Carlos by doubting him? Or should she ignore the doubts in her heart?
