NOLAN IS RUTHLESS!

I glared at Nolan as we made our way to the construction site. The sight of him physically hurting Brenda still lingers on my mind.

Is he the monster I used to know? But he was never violent or abusive. What would have happened if I had not walked in on them? I knew Brenda was a little overbearing but what did she do to warrant such treatment from Nolan?

“Were you going to hit her?” I asked, finally breaking the silence that was present in the car as the chauffeur drove us. He sat close to me but was avoiding eye contact with me.

“Hit who?” he asked, feigning ignorance, I rolled my eyes, because I was aware he knew who I was talking about.

“Brenda,” I replied with an irritable tone.

“No,” he simply said. He gave no further explanation which made me boil in rage.

I scowled, “I saw you holding her,”

“She deserved it,” he responded, my eyes widened, was he justifying his actions?
