Chapter 21 The reason behind this

She woke up the next day with hopes in her eyes. She dressed up for the day and went to the office. They were supposed to have a board meeting and so, she prepared herself to go there. In the meeting room, the shareholders were discussing the brilliance of a young guy dressed in a black suit and shirt. His hair was oiled and combed to his back and it lingered on shoulders, at first glance, one would think of him as a gentleman.

But when he smiled, you would sight a devious expression, Elsie entered and heard praises of him. He watched Elsie walked in dressed like a business woman with some files in her hands and he smiled in her way. Elsie saw his smile and shook her head and thought,

‘This time that this guy is smiling in my way, I believe he has something on his sleeves. What’s he planning now?’

As she was about to sit down, one elderly looking man looked in her way and said to her,

“I don’t think you deserve the seat that you are about to sit on.”
