A Daughter’s Resentment

"W-what?" I stuttered. "What did you say?"

He stood up and started to approach me, causing me to quickly step back.

"Celeste..."

"No, please. Stop! What else do you want? Have you forgotten how you discarded me like a stray cat when you found out I was pregnant? Or maybe you want me to remind you of everything!" My voice thundered, accompanied by the pounding of my heart, as if it wanted to burst out of my chest.

My eyes started to well up with tears, and my body trembled as I struggled to catch my breath.

"Celeste, I told you, I just want to see my grandchild, even if it's the last time. Before I leave this world," he pleaded.

"No, fuck it! You have no grandchild here because you're not my father! You're not my parent! The Fuentebellas are my family now. You might be in their mansion, but you don't belong! It's all your fault, waking up my nightmares!" I yelled at him, blaming him for everything.
