Chapter Forty Four

My phone started ringing and I answered, "third floor... please bring your first aid kit.."

"Okay...coming right up."

I threw my phone on the table, not caring any bit about it and turned my attention back to Kat, still trying to wake her up,

"Baby... baby.... Kat..."

The main door immediately opened and Stevens walked in with her kit in her hand. She walked to us, "What happened?"

I shrugged, "I.. I don't know.. I arrived from work and found her like this. I don't know how long she's been out.. I..."

As I rambled Stevens put on her hand gloves and went to Kat, she checked her pulse..

I couldn't even remember to check her fucken pulse..

"Okay... umh.. hand me my kit... and please give us space..."

I did as I was told and backed away a bit. I then started to pace back and forth.
