Breathing problems

Bethany stared at Piper with fury. She shook, unable to utter a word from the shock that was yet to wear off on her.

"I have somewhere important to be, so I'll take my leave first." Piper said, mockingly, and left Bethany standing there with all the people in the cafe staring at her.

Piper went straight to the bus station to wait for the next bus that was going to town, but didn't expect to see her former co-workers there.

They looked at each other for a second before flashing smiles at Piper.

"Oh, Piper." The first one said.

"It's so nice to see you once more." The other said, and Piper sat next to them.

"Yeah, it's really nice to meet like this. Are you going somewhere?" She asked them.

"No. Actually, we were out today for business on behalf of the company."

"Oh. Really, what business?" She asked with a smile.

"I'm so sorry. We can't disclose. You know, you're no longer working with us."
