I tried to move away from him but he just tightened his grip on my waist just so I stayed in my place.

He held both of my shoulders and made me face him. "I have tried so many times to approach you, Aliara. The time you move to the ruins of your palace, I wanted to take that chance but I never did. I saw the loneliness and agony from your eyes and I know I am the reason why so I stopped." I shook my head out of sadness. "I cannot put up with it so I promised myself not to get near you again if I can only give you pain in return."

"Sevasti…" I said in a low voice, almost a whisper as I stared at him.
