Chapter 68 Blatant Robbery

The owner of the pork stall was an honest and kind man, and once he saw that he had scared such an adorable child to tears, he frantically softened his tone to apologize. "I'm so sorry, kid. Don't cry! I'll sell you the pork for a cheap price."

"I want ten pounds of meat, but you can only charge me the price of one pound, okay?" Lucas said smugly.

The owner reluctantly agreed to his terms, and Scarlett thought that what Lucas was doing was a blatant robbery.

At the vegetable stall, Lucas also asked the owner directly, "Miss, how much is one pound of this vegetable?" The owner was clearly a middle-aged woman, but Lucas called her "Miss" to try and get on her good side.

But it seemed like Lucas had met his match. The owner didn't even crack a smile and replied plainly, "Three dollars for a pound."

"What about this one?" Lucas continued, pretending that he didn't mind.

"Four dollars."
