CHAPTER THIRTEEN

ALEX'S POV

"I'm actually surprised, Alex." Emma said suddenly, startling me from my deep thoughts.

"What?" I blinked at her, as I scrubbed out the stain from the wall.

"You've been following me everywhere." She turned to look at me, and for the first time I noticed that her eyes was a shade of pale blue, and she had long lashes that looked almost fake and made me envious. "If I didn't know better, I'd have concluded that you're just looking for an excuse to be around me."

"Well, you're very beautiful." I blurt out, to make up for the awkward silence. "And you're fun to be with?" I tried a smirk and tried to look flirty, but I'm very sure I looked constipated. I tried to think of something that will make me be with her for as long as possible.

"Really? Are you sure you're alright?" She's smiling as she turned and began to scrub the wall vigorously.

"No, I'm not." I humped my shoulders and contorted my face to look as pitiful as I could. " My girlfriend dumped me."
