CLAIRE

As sure as the color of the sky, the green in the grass, the shades of both yellow and orange in the sun's rays, I could attest to the fact that those were the only things that made sense in my life.

I wasn't trying to be ungrateful. God knew I wasn't.

But have you ever woken up one morning to realized that your life might as well have been a big lie.

That maybe what you knew wasn't necessarily true. That maybe you didn't know yourself as much people knew you.

It felt that way and even though I tried to push the ill feelings aside and tried to really enjoy what God had given me, I still felt...

Stuck somewhere I didn't belong.

Stuck as someone I didn't know in an utopian fantasy my mind had created.

And it was safe to say, said mind had done a really great job in ensuring that I was stuck into being a shell of someone I didn't recognize.
