Elena and I entered the station to frown when we found that Drake was already waiting for us by the door.

“Now, this has to be very important if you’re waiting for us the way that you are.” Elena said, frowning at the sight of the man she once called friend.

The fact that she was speaking to him normally surprised me enough as it was, but I knew better than to ask any questions at this point. She knew to act professionally when she wanted to, and somewhere inside me I could tell that she was blocking her emotions in, and that was something that I knew would end up being very healthy for her.
