The room was dark and quiet. I squinted into the silence. I couldn’t believe Mum had left me here. Not only that – she’d had a bloody Omega come in and tie me to the chair. I’d let him, wanting to appease Mum sooner rather than later. If I’d fought back, she might have come back and tied me down herself.
