"Just do as they tell you, Elisa, no harm will come upon you. I promise you."
"No Father! I don't want to!" Elisa refused, squeezing her face with arms folded tight against her heaving chest.
"Look," her father held her shoulders softly and looked into her eyes. "This could end up good for us. You know how many girls of your age wish for this opportunity? The Alpha could be your mate, don't you see?" He was now getting irritated with her daughter's childish acts. Why couldn't she just be a good girl for once. How lucky would he be to share some relation with the Alpha.
"No Father! I do not want to be the Alpha's mate. I do not wish to be his Luna! I reject him!" Elisa snapped fiercely.
Elisa's father sighed in exasperation and turned away. It was obvious his peace talk wouldn't help the matter.
As soon as he stepped away, one of the huge men Jeremy had come with grabbed Elisa.
"Let me go! Where are you taking me to!" Elisa screamed as she attempted wriggling free from the huge man that held her.
"Elisa! Stay calm!" Her father ordered angrily.
"Father save me, they are taking me away…" she looked at her father who watched without a single protest as she was being dragged away. It didn't take him so long to sell his supposed lovely daughter to the Alpha. So much for a father!
That moment Elisa knew she had to do something for herself. Even if it means doing something crazy. She gathered a full chunk of saliva in her mouth and spat at the man dragging her away. Right in his face. The man was startled and didn't know when she broke free from his grip and took to her heels.
"Get her!" Jeremy barked.
All the men went after her.
"Help me, anyone! Help me please…" Elisa mind linked to whoever (nearby werewolves) that cares to help her as she continues to run as much as her legs could carry her. Even though she knew it would be more than impossible for any werewolf aside from the ones after her to be nearby.
She ran out of their house and into the street.

Eleanor came to a forced halt as a certain wave reverberated in her head. For a few seconds she couldn't walk, different voices rang in her head sending her a sharp headache.
"What is going on…" she muttered, clutching her head strongly, trying to steady herself.
As time passed, the voice started to get clearer in her head.
"Help me please…someone help me…"
"What is this…what am I hearing…" she became shocked as her eyes strayed around the street. Everyone seems to be busy with their lives and nothing odd or strange seems to be happening. No one looked like they had said a word. As a matter of fact, they surprisingly had happy faces and not one in need of help.
Then who was she hearing speak to her for help.
The voice quietened after a short while.
She scoffed. "Gosh, I must be hearing things now huh…aargh! Am I going crazy? Oh shit!" She let out a groan and continued to walk.
Suddenly a girl came charging towards her direction. Some huge men were after her.
"What is happening…" she mumbled, stopping to observe.
Eleanor looked closely and realized the girl to be her friend. The same person she was on her way to see.
"Elisa? What's going on? Where are you running off to…"
"Eleanor?" Elisa screeched to a stop. "When did you get back?"
"First things first, why are you all sweaty and running…wait, who are those men…are they after you? What have you done? What is going on with you?" She asked with a narrowed gaze.
Elisa flashed a quick look behind her. The men were closing in on her faster.
"They are…" Oh shit! She nearly blew her family's secret. She almost told Eleanor what she shouldn't have said.
"I'm sorry but I can't talk right now, Eleanor,
Let's see and catch up later…" she dashed off again
"But..wait! Are you sure you will be alright? Should I call the cops?"
"No! Don't call the cops! I am alright!" Elisa's voice trailed as she ran off.
"But…"
"Oh damn she already left. How is she so fast…I hope she will be alright" Eleanor murmured.
She sighed. Seems everything was against her that day. She couldn't stay home as Uncle Bob's and her dad's words made her restless and she couldn't even see her friend. What to do?
She turned and started back to her house.
"Help me…Father can you hear me…don't let them take me away…"
The voice came again ringing in Eleanor's head.
She stopped and listened closely. Whoever that owned the voice was seeking some help to a person supposedly his father but why was she hearing it. A thought came to her to search and help the person.
"Hmph! I should mind my business. I mean I don't even know who this person is. Wait…am I really going crazy?" Her eyes widened, ripples of shock spread through her. She had to confirm if she was really going crazy or hearing things. She scurried over to a woman in her store by the street.
"Ma'am, please I'm sorry to bother you but this is sort of urgent. Can you hear anything…Can you hear anyone calling for help? Like help me...Eh? Eh? Please answer me…"
The woman looked at her as if she was crazy and shook her head in pity.
"I'm not crazy, I swear. I'm just hearing these voices and sounds…can't you hear it…can…"
"I'm sorry but please do you mind leaving my store."
"Fine. I guess you don't have sharp ears like I do. I should ask her." She went over to another woman and asked the same question.
"Ma'am, do you hear voices asking for help? Uh?"
"I'm sorry but can you give me a second?" The woman asked with a smile. Eleanor nodded somewhat glad someone could be on the same path with her.
The woman slowly reached for the telephone.
"Hello? Is this the police? I have a crazy girl in my store. Please, she is being a nuisance. Could you come take her away…yes….yes…yes…"
"What? You are calling the cops? I'm not crazy! Believe me…" Eleanor pleaded.
"Crazy people never agree to be crazy anyways…leave now!!' she hissed heavily and stamped the telephone back to its holder.
Eleanor needed no soothsayer to tell her what would be her fate if she stayed another minute in that store before she scampered away cursing under her breath.
"Why do they all think I am crazy for fuvk's sake!" She forced back a groan. "Well, I guess I should just…mind my business then."
But Eleanor had only walked a few distance when the pleading voice came again. Annoyed, she was determined to find out where the voice was coming from unless she would be forced to believe she really was going crazy. She listened carefully and followed the direction the voice linked her to.
The voice led her through an alley with lock up stores.
"What are they doing here…I guess Elisa is safe now." She mumbled seeing the huge men she had seen earlier going after Elisa. They seem to be onto a new prey. She glared at them behind their back and continued to follow the voice.
She stopped before an abandoned store. Everything within her tells her the voice was coming from there. She looked behind her to see the huge men staring at her as if to know her next move. Then it dawned on her, the men must be after the person that owns the voice speaking to her.
"Ahem!" She coughed nervously feeling their piercing gaze on her. She had to slip out of their sight but not without helping the person.
She stepped away from the front of the store all in a bid to divert the attention of the men. For minutes, she wandered around the place waiting for when the men will lose focus and look away from her side.
An opportunity finally came. A noise started to emanate from one of the stores. A gambling house. The sound of broken bottles and the screams of men littered the whole place. A fight has broken out.
They lost their attention on her and once they looked away;
"One…two…three…" At the count of three, she pushed the door and ran in. Her Big toe struck the foot of the door causing her to bite her lips hard while blocking her groans.
"Hello? Are you in here?" She called out to the empty store.
"Come out now…I am not one of them…" She called again.
A head slowly started to point out from behind a wooden counter.
"Eleanor?" Elisa's jaw dropped at the sight of who she saw. "What are you doing here…!" Her eyes widened as she wondered if Eleanor had heard her or it was just mere coincidence.
"Elisa? Is that you?" Eleanor was surprised. "By any chance, did you call for help?" She asked, hoping to confirm her sanity.
Elisa swallowed. "How did you hear that…"
"I'm not sure. I mean strange things keep happening to me today." Eleanor shrugged but with relief that she wasn't crazy after all.
A loud bang sounded outside. The men were coming.
"Come on, let's hurry. The men are searching for you."
Elisa came out of her hiding spot, still shocked. She couldn't understand how Eleanor had heard her call for help. If there was one thing she knew; Eleanor is a pure human breed. A clueless one too. On many occasions, she had thought she had caught her while her werewolf traits showed but she got no wind of it. Then how could she hear her?
The door flew open as they made to walk out. The men stood before them, with their shadows towering above them.
"Don't worry Elisa, stay behind me, We will find a way…" Eleanor said, pushing Elisa behind her.
Elisa shook her head silently. Eleanor keeps shocking her by the second. If only she knows the real identity of those standing before her. "Fool…I should be the one to protect you." She mumbled to herself.
"Hey! Let us go or you will regret it!" Eleanor barked.
The men filed up as another man walked through the created space. Jeremy. He stood inches from the two girls. Elisa's teeth clenched as her eyes met with his.
"Come with us quietly, Elisa if you want your friend to be safe." Jeremy mind linked to her.
"Don't you dare lay a hand on my friend!" She glared silently still mind linking to him.
"Then make her leave."
She sighed out. She couldn't let her friend share in her suffering. She turned towards Eleanor, "Hey babes…they are my friends, I promise they won't hurt me. Why don't you go home and wait for me? I promise to come as soon as I am done settling with them."
"Your friends? I don't believe you Elisa! Your friends won't chase you all the way from home. Tell me are they trying to do something mean to you? Look, you don't have to go with them. Let's make a plan and escape from them…"
"No Eleanor, I will be fine."
"No, I won't leave. I will go with you." Eleanor insisted.
Jeremy blew out air. "Fine, get the both of them." He ordered the men.
"No, let my friend go. She hasn't done anything wrong to you!" Elisa kicked.
She and Eleanor were grabbed and a white handkerchief placed on their noses. In less than a few seconds, they were silenced as the gas from the handkerchief drifted into their nose and tickled their brains to dormancy.
EVENING TIMEArthur was reading a book in his library when Jeremy walked in. "Sir, would you like to see them now?""Yes." He replied after a while without glancing away from his book "Then I will have them prepared and send them in at once…""There is no need for that. Take me to them instead…" He stood from his seat and dropped the book back into the bookshelf. "But sir…they are not washed up yet…" Jeremy protested, surprised with Arthur's sudden desire to meet the girls by himself."It's fine. I will just take a look. They wouldn't match after all." He said, a hint of disappointment waxing his tone. He had given up on finding his mate. It is only to satisfy his conscience that he kept on looking knowing it would all turn out futile once more. "Ah, yes sir." Jeremy led the way to the room where the new girls brought in were kept. "Uh…sir…you can't go in. They are not cleaned up yet…" the lady housekeeper tried to stop him from getting in. "It's fine. Move." She mumbled words
ARTHUR'S POV"You have a lot to explain." I said with a serious face as soon as Jeremy joined me outside. "I'm sorry sir…""Jeremy…" I called with a deep voice, cutting him short. "Yes…yes sir…""What do I hate most?""Apologies, especially at the wrong time, disloyalty, loose mouth, weakness."I look at his face briefly. I should punish him for not doing his job properly but then I made a mental note to let it slide since there is something more bugging at that moment. "Then speak." I commanded. "She is a friend to one of the girls but…but she is…" he stuttered with his head bent. I looked at him closely. I could tell that whatever he had to say must be something that could rile me up. Jeremy knew me better than anyone. He rarely fidgets like most people in my presence but seeing him behave this way tells me something was up. "She is human…"The word human echoed in my head. Whatever he had muffled next couldn't make it into my ears. Whilst my body numbed for a moment, the word
WRITER’S POVDashing into the hideout, Arthur growled loudly which showed he wanted to be all alone. His men who were training there all vamoosed. The thought of having a human mate made his blood boiled. Events of the last time he went hunting when a human hunter nearly killed him made it even worse for him to accept his fate which he only saw as terrible. He put a call across to his beta, Dennis and before the next thirty minutes Dennis had arrived. He called Jeremy too. They are the only ones he could confide in that moment. He needed someone to tell him he was having a nightmare…anything just to end this terrible fate of his.“Bring her back to me.” He said to Jeremy who stared at him utterly confused.“Her? Who are you talking about?” Dennis interjected, confused as well.“Fuvk! I must be going crazy…” Arthur muttered incoherently with a troubled sigh. He shuffled his hair making a mess of it.Then he stood abruptly and faced Dennis squarely. “If by any chance you find out you a
“Hey Elisa!”“urh…hi Eleanor…” Elisa stuttered surprised to see Eleanor. The moment she saw her, she remembered their ordeal in her pack. “What a surprise…I thought you would be lying like a log of wood right in bed by now…”Eleanor collapsed onto the bed with a deep sigh. “Well, I guess so but…then I find it really strange. Elisa, I can’t seem to get a vivid picture of what happened to us after…after we got kidnapped. Did you meet those huge men and that really cold one amongst them? How…how did you get home…I mean how did we get home…”“Relax Eleanor, relax…take a deep breath okay…it’s all good now. I mean we are back and home and safe and that is all that matters.”Eleanor shrugged. “I can’t just seem to get it out of my head. I feel like something else had happened…” she chewed nervously on her fingers biting off the slightly overgrown one of her thumb finger.Elisa paused. A lot of things on her mind that has got her confused. How did Eleanor hear her mind linking her father? She
Eleanor woke up feeling feverish and weak, as if she had lifted heavy weights the previous day. She moaned and then bit her lips hard as she rolled on the bed while shutting out the sharp pain she felt all over her body.Slowly, she squinted her eyes open, the left one first and then the right one. She could see a figure but it was blurry. She just shook it away concluding that she was only dreaming. The beautifully painted ceiling of the room, although hazy in her sleepy state couldn’t dim its beauty and brightness and struck her sleepy eyes. Eleanor felt like she was in a dreamland. A wonderful one at that. One she wasn’t sure she wanted to wake up from.“Oh heavens, my head is banging…” she groaned and stretched, stifling in the yawn that tried to escape her lips.“Why am I seeing this face…am I still dreaming…oh my head…” she stretched a bit more. But then the figure kept starring right back at her, without moving an inch.“Huh…” her eyes flew open. She rubbed her eyes with her ha
“Let my friend go!” Elisa gritted at Arthur. She had followed Jeremy after they kidnapped Eleanor to the pack. “It gives me no pleasure keeping your friend with me. I just need to be sure of a few things.” Arthur said as he flipped through the pages of a book he was reading. “Have you no idea? She is human! What could you possibly do with a human? Didn’t you always hate her likes? Why then do you have her in your house?” Elisa retorted. “That is why I must hope to be wrong!” Arthur flared up. His eyes spat dangerous sparks. He flung the book away with so much annoyance and got to his feet. “Do you think I am pleased to have such blood in my house? huh… I really do hope the moon goddess get back to their senses as soon as possible.” “She is your mate?” Elisa asked, shocked. Arthur didn’t say a word. That automatically answered her question. She blinked, cold chill washed down her skin. “No…that can’t be…she is really human…” her voice trailed off in disbelief. “Tell me all you kn

ARTHUR POV’S“Send her back to her people. Make sure to wipe her memory clean of everything she must have seen here. I want her gone before tomorrow.” I said to Jeremy as soon as we got back to the pack. Jeremy stared at me with widened eyes and dropped jaw. “Are you sure you really want her gone?”“You obey my orders Jeremy and don’t question me.”“Of course sir.”Dennis followed me. “Think carefully about this, Arthur.” He said matching my pace.“You have a few days until you are thirty-five dude! I hope you are well aware of that!”I said no word to him as I walked into my room and shut the door. I just wanted to be left alone. I grabbed my towel and headed into the wash room. Coming in contact with some of the humans made me feel dirty. Yes, I hated humans and even though I knew I was doing a stupid thing getting rid of my mate whom turned out to be human, I couldn’t feel a bit bad about it.Getting into the washroom, I climbed into the bath tub, switched on the water and let it c
