“You don’t have to stay by my side the whole day, Arturo.” Sienna said, raising herself to look at me. I nodded and gave her a gentle smile, knowing that she was still upset with everything that happened.

The fact that the sun was setting and that she was unable to shift was something that neither one of us could miss. I knew that she was not opening up about it, but I also knew that it was hurting her a lot more than she could have ever thought that it would. The anger and the pain that she must have been feeling would have killed another man, and that was something that I couldn’t easily ignore or let go of.
