“Why are going off to places when Azriel wants to keep your fucking existence a secret?” I barely register the words before I am pinned to the door of the cabin by Alessia.

Her icy blue gaze is filled with worry, and despite the spine-chilling information that my mother bestowed on me, I feel my lips quirk up into a smirk.

“Why? Were you worried about me, princess?” I can’t help but ask. My hands are flat against the door although I can easily grab her by the waist and flip our position but I think I will keep that for later.
