My body shook as I fell to the ground and held my hands over my head. I could feel them coming closer even without seeing them and it terrified me to the core. There was nothing I could do at this point without making things worse. From a crack in between my fingers, I peeked and saw two women wielding sharp knives which were supposed to be for our collective protection here. For them, a human was more dangerous than a million rogues put together. At least they shared similarities with the rogues, but I would forever remain an outcast.

Alpha Damon’s protection of me was becoming suspicious to the rest of his kingdom. They were beginning to think I had some hold on him and I couldn’t blame them. When I peeked again, the other women had given way for the first woman to walk up to me with the knife that looked extra sharp and pointed it directly under my neck.

So this was it. My demise. I never imagined my death like this; in another man’s land when I hadn’t even begun to explo
