I was in prison when it happened.

Unexpectedly.

Unplanned.

No one saw it coming.

I had washed my hands off their practice and in my last act of heroism, had rescued the werewolves that had been used as test subjects. For that reason, I was deemed an enemy of the nation and jailed, awaiting trial.

I knew that rescuing the wolves, especially Rogu would increase the chances of the war getting more heated but it was a risk I was willing to take than to see innocent lives taken for no reason.

It was my second time in prison, and human prison was considerably better than the wolf dungeon so I didn’t complain.

No one came to visit me, not even my sister. Lately, she had become putty in Simon’s hands, only doing whatever he said and since we were no longer on good terms after our fallout, that meant she never came to see me.
